The Chicken Coop

Today I'm taking a tour of the chicken coop. I'm doing this partially for something to do in the winter that includes chickens and not being inside all the time.

First, I'm getting some treats (Usually dried corn, dried soldier fly larvae, and seeds).

 Done.

The outside of chicken coop in winter.

The inside of the chicken coop is not as full of snow.

The welcoming committee meets me at the door, greeting with clucks and burbling sounds.

Here's Coral. Can you find Ginger in the picture?

Lily, the last one out–– a blur of speed!

Lunchtime for everyone. In order from left to right: Black Pearl, Ginger, Honey, Coral, and Lily.

!

Smile for your picture, Pearl!

Those silver eyebrows are very distinguished, Coral.

No more treats, Honey.

Ginger,

and her best friend, Lily.

Grit and oyster shell containers conclude the run visit.

Pearl laid an egg in the far left nest box.

Good job Pearl!

What a beautiful egg.
